• O Song Goes International With Soup!

Posted in Blog by Brooke Trout

Check out The Soupy Gato Show on 11/20 to hear an awesome 453 show featuring DJ Daniel Harris out of Holland. This will be Brill’s first official radio play for their new single O Song now available on over twenty digital vendors including CD Baby and iTunes! Thursday’s show also marks the first ever international airplay for Dave and Brooke. Keep your ears peeled for a special shout out from the dynamic duo otherwise known as Brill on the show!

Daniel asked us “Why Brill? In Dutch it means glasses.”

Dave came up with the name Brill which is British slang for brilliant as well as the name of the fish which is our band logo. It has also been pointed out to us that Brill is Bothas Rhombus, meaning a flat species of fish. If you have heard of any other interesting anecdotes related to our band name let us know!

DJ Daniel Harris has previously earned the coveted number one ranked podcast title and he has interviewed the likes of Billy Idol among others. Brooke was a guest on The Soupy Gato Show when they were still based out in Michigan back in 2006 when she debuted her first album Bittersweet. One thing lead to another and Daniel put Brooke in touch with Bitchin Entertainment.com, a music industry oriented web site based in Georgia where she ended up being a contributing writer for over three years; her archived interviews and reviews can still be enjoyed on the site.
