Its all about art again for October. Special thanks again to Edwin Aguilar, Ruth Villa, Juliana Martinez and Tony Bartolone for all their incredible help pulling together the Freddy Krueger themed art and comedy show for Boshin Gallery last month on such short notice.

This was Brooke’s first official experience with an art show and she was immediately asked to participate in another. The opening reception for “Las Almas De Oro,” a Dia De Los Muertos art exhibition, will be held October 5th at 6 p.m. at The Madrid Theatre, 21622 Sherman Way, Canoga Park, CA 91303. This exhibit will be running throughout the month and leading up to the annual Dia De Los Muertos Festival on November 3rd where Brooke will be chalk drawing.

Also up for October Brooke will be conducting some clay workshops for kids for the The Public Art Initiative! Calahan Charter Elementary School presents the Northridge Village Art Fair on October 19th at 18722 Knapp St, Northridge, CA 91324. Activities for the entire community include interactive art workshops for kids and adults as well as art appreciation workshops and historical panels, live mural painting, artist exhibitions and a kids art show.

The latest news for Brill is they have been asked to perform a holiday showcase for A Very Artful Holiday Faire featuring handmade art, gifts and baked goods to benefit the arts of the San Fernando Valley. More details TBA but save the date/time/location: November 16th from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. at El Rancho Cordillera del Norte, 9015 Wilbur (at Nordhoff), Northridge, CA.
