Our CD Release backyard BBQ Pool Party was a big success! It was truly great to see so many friends and to enjoy a beautiful summer day with everyone. Bill Willets built an incredible backdrop for our banner. Gourmet barbecue eats were communally shared in the way of asparagus, jumbo shrimp and brussel sprouts thanks to our lovely friend and amazingly talented artist Sera Blvd who made us this excellent tribute logo:

A special birthday cake made its presence known in celebration of Jeannie’s birthday. Folks weren’t shy about getting in the swimming pool and beating the heat while getting choice box seats for the show. It really was a night to remember! Here is some video of our song Shine taken at the show…keep your eyes peeled for the rockin kazoo solo!

We are so grateful to our host and hostess Bill and Jeannie Willets who shared many weekends of practice with us this summer in preparation for this event. We also love this wonderful write up of the show by Tammy Johnston for Nohoartsdistrict.com: http://nohoartsdistrict.com/entertainment-news/la-music-scene/item/3081-new-approach-to-the-house-concert-circuit#.VfCLHxFVikq”>

In case you missed it you can see us all perform again together on September 19th at 7 p.m. at Coffee Klatch, 806 W Arrow Hwy, Ste A, San Dimas, CA 91773 Web site: http://www.yelp.com/biz/klatch-coffee-san-dimas

Joining us at this truly delicious old school mom and pop coffee shop will be critically acclaimed singer/songwriter Jeannie Willets who has been captivating audiences for more than two decades and has shared a stage with the likes of Suzanne Vega and Shawn Colvin. Songwriter Warren Pash (“Private Eyes”) says, “Jeannie plays her guitar like it’s a piano and, with all those walking bass things she does, I have to say that she’s, also, a damn good bass-player!” Fun fact: Dave was a member of the Jeannie Willets Band from 2000 – 2002, and a member of Brooke Trout and The Anchormen from 2008 – 2010. (Brill is the current collaboration between Brooke Trout and Dave Strauss, an acoustic harmonizing duo.)
