Last month’s “A Very Artful Holiday Faire” presented by the San Fernando Valley Arts Council at El Rancho Cordillera del Norte was a success and good warm up for Brill’s Toys For Tots Show at The Talking Stick this week. Due to an illness Brooke was unable to attend the post-Thanksgiving Day show at The Talking Stick with Ramekega. As the expression goes, the show must go on and Dave Strauss held down the fort to celebrate the season with our musical family. Brooke is since in full recovery and looking forward to this Friday’s showcase in support of Toys for Tots.

Trout’s current music project Brill is an acoustic alternative harmonizing duo with former Anchorman and Flat Cat Radio host, singer/songwriter Dave Strauss. The group will be on hiatus from live performances for the next three months in order to commence the preproduction phase of their debut album “Fish Out Of Water” to be released in the Spring of 2015. Brill has been performing in support of nonprofits including Foodshare and the San Fernando Valley Arts Council since their formation in Spring of 2013.
